The Masjida app lets you view prayer times, news, and events from your local mosque. No account required. No personal data collected.
1. Introduction
This privacy policy explains how the Masjida mobile application ("the App") handles your information. The App is published by Masjida ApS.
The App allows you to view publicly available mosque information such as prayer times, news, events, and announcements. You do not need to create an account, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or address.
2. What Data We Collect
Push Notification Token
If you enable push notifications, your device provides a random token generated by Apple or Google. We store this token solely to deliver notifications about prayer times, events, and news from your selected mosque(s).
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
Mosque Selection
When you select a mosque to follow, that preference is stored locally on your device and sent to our server to deliver relevant content. We do not link this to any personal identity.
Technical Data
Our servers automatically log minimal technical data:
- IP address (not stored long-term)
- Device type and OS version
- App version
- Request timestamps

5. Data Sharing
Push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). These services receive your device's push token to deliver notifications.
We do not share any other data with third parties. We do not sell, rent, or trade any data.

Since the App collects minimal, non-identifying data, most GDPR data subject rights do not practically apply. However, you can always:
Disable push notifications in your device settings at any time
Delete the App - all local data is removed immediately
Request token deletion - email [email protected]
8. Children's Privacy
The App displays publicly available mosque information and does not collect personal data from any user, including children. No age verification is required because no personal data or accounts are involved.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users via an in-app message.
